As a leading integrated cultural tourism conglomerate rooted in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (“Greater Bay Area”), Shun Tak Group (“The Group”) upholds the core values of “Integrity and Virtue”, and is committed to giving back to the society by nurturing the next generation of talent and creating more development opportunities for them. This year, the Group became a Corporate Sponsor and judge for the 4th edition of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce’s Pitch Perfect Programme in supporting local youth in their career development. The Group also led participating university students on a meaningful corporate visit through its flagship community investment initiative, T+ Exploration, providing them with an in-depth understanding of the Group’s diverse businesses under its “Tourism+” growth strategy.
This year’s Pitch Perfect Programme attracted over 140 student participants. The programme consists of four stages: training, mentorship, company visits, and business pitching, aiming to equip students with essential workplace skills and strengthen connections between the business community and the younger generation. As part of the programme, the Group organized an immersive corporate visit for participating university students, offering them a first-hand experience of its diversified businesses in Macao. The journey began with TurboJET’s convenient and comfortable ferry ride, followed by a visit to the Macau Tower, where students explored its world-class MICE facilities, observation deck, as well as urban adventures at Skypark. The students also gained insights into the Group’s high-end tourism ventures in Macao, including a visit to Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau, One Central Macau – the first property in Macao that brings together elements of high-end retail, hotel, residences, and serviced apartments, and Mandarin Oriental, Macau – the top-tier international hotel brand introduced to Macao by the Group.
The programme’s finale, which comprises two rounds of competitions, took place on 30 May. Each of the Corporate Sponsor conducted a group interview with the students and selected one winner in the first round. Stephanie Mak from The University of Hong Kong, who was selected by the Group during the first round, emerged at the champion. As a Corporate Sponsor, the Group will organize a series of site visits across its business portfolio within the region for Stephanie and other outstanding talents from different programs. These immersive experiences aim to broaden their horizons in the cultural tourism industry and deepen their understanding of career opportunities within the Greater Bay Area.
