Shun Tak Group is committed to nurturing the next generation by providing diverse experiential platforms that allow young people to gain deeper insights into the cultural tourism industry and broaden their career horizons, expanding the talent pool for the industry.
In 2024, the Group launched its flagship community investment program, T+ Exploration, which leverages its “Tourism+” business portfolio to offer students immersive learning experiences. The program is designed to unlock the full potential of youth through cultural engagement, career exposure, and community participation, helping students build a comprehensive understanding of the industry.
The Group is also actively expanding channels for youth empowerment through internship initiatives. In addition to T+ Exploration, the Group participated in The Chinese General Chamber of Commerce’s Shanghai Internship Program this year, placing three university students from Hong Kong in internships at NEW BUND 31, the Group’s flagship mixed-use development in Shanghai. Guided by their mentors, the interns collaborated with colleagues from diverse professional and cultural backgrounds, developed innovative proposals, engaged in sponsor communications, explored new collaboration opportunities, and coordinated cross-departmental teamwork, demonstrating creativity, team spirit, and vitality.
To further enrich the internship experience and broaden industry perspectives, the Group also organized site visits to another of the Group’s projects in Shanghai – the Suhe Bay Area Mixed-use Development Project – where interns learned how commerce and conservation can be integrated, expanding their understanding of urban development and cultural preservation, and gaining valuable hands-on industry experience for their future careers.
Looking ahead, the Group will continue to collaborate with community partners to create growth opportunities for youth. By offering experiences that combine depth and breadth, we aim to empower young talents to realize their potential in cultural tourism and related fields.
