Ms. Pansy Ho, Group Executive Chairman and Managing Director of Shun Tak Holdings Limited, attended the inaugural TOURISE Summit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where she participated in a high-level forum titled “Trade Winds & Travel Flows: A Shifting Economic Order.” Joined global political and business leaders, Ms. Ho engaged in in-depth discussions on the challenges and opportunities facing the cultural and tourism sector amid ongoing global economic transformation.
Gathering over 120 leaders from diverse global sectors including government, business, investment, tourism, and technology, the summit represented one of the largest and most cross-sectoral gatherings in the global tourism industry. It covered a broad spectrum of industries, including sports, entertainment, media, transportation, and aviation, and aimed to drive innovation, transformation, and sustainable growth across a multi-trillion-dollar tourism market. Ms. Ho is also a founding member of TOURISE.
Ms. Ho remarked that under the strategic guidance of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan, Shun Tak Group would focus on its integrated investments in areas such as cultural heritage preservation, talent development, and community revitalization, creating new drivers for high-quality tourism development. She emphasized that amid profound changes in geopolitical dynamics and the global economic order, deepening multilateral cooperation and international connectivity, while promoting sustainable development and cross-sector integration with innovative technologies, are key to enhancing the tourism sector’s resilience and core competitiveness. Highlighting multilateral cooperation as a mutually empowerment process, Ms. Ho cited Macao as an example: beyond enhancing its appeal as a tourism destination, the city is being positioned as a strategic platform to showcase the cultural richness and charm of other Chinese cities to global travellers, fostering a new development paradigm based on regional synergy and complementary strengths in the cultural and tourism industry, ultimately contributing to the shared prosperity of China’s tourism industry as a whole.
As a leading integrated cultural and tourism enterprise deeply rooted in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area for many years, Shun Tak Group is translating its commitment to global tourism and investment dialogue into concrete action through this summit. The Group is actively aligning with national strategies and regional cooperation frameworks to expand diversified tourism corridors. It remains focused on upgrading the cultural and tourism industry and promoting cross-sector integration, with the goal of transforming the Greater Bay Area and broader Asia into world-class travel destinations. Through these efforts, Shun Tak aims to inject sustained momentum into regional economic growth and international cultural and tourism cooperation, and to lead the global tourism industry into a new chapter of high-quality, sustainable development.
