We are pleased to announce that TurboJET has been awarded the prestigious “Learning & Development Award – Elite” at the HR Excellence Awards 2025/26 organized by the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resource Management (HKIHRM). Regarded by the industry as the “Oscars of Human Resources Management,” the awards are known for their rigorous judging standards, with a strong emphasis on tangible results and sustainable development. For the Group, participation in and recognition from the awards not only affirms its professional excellence, but also fully recognizes TurboJET’s dedication to nurturing maritime talent and promoting the sustainable development of the industry.
Human resource management is a key element in the sustainable development and success of an enterprise. As a long-standing cradle for maritime professionals, TurboJET established its independent and sustainable internal training system – the “Cadet Program” – in 2008. To this day, TurboJET remains the only private enterprise offering a systematic training program specifically for maritime talent in cross-border passenger vessels. The program provides a well-defined promotion ladder and comprehensive on-the-job training, offering trainees clear career direction and enabling them to plan their career development step by step. Over the years, the “Cadet Program” has trained 94 night navigators, 70 chief officers, and 25 masters. In recent years, TurboJET has also partnered with the Hong Kong Sea School to launch the “Junior Crew Program,” providing internship and hands-on industry experience for students aspiring to enter the maritime sector.
Looking ahead, the Group will continue to strengthen its talent training framework, actively nurture more professionals, and drive the industry’s sustained high-quality development and innovation.
